Can Do’s project management software receives “Best of 2013” award in the “Industry IT & Software Solutions” category
This year, Can Do’s project management software was again one of the best products in the field of “Industry IT & Software Solutions”. At the Medium Enterprise Initiative Industry Prize competition 2013, in which more than 1,200 products in 14 categories were entered, the independent jury awarded solutions with particularly high technological, ecological, economic and social benefits. Among other things, Can Do’s planning software convinced the jury through its integration of the line or matrix organisation into the resource management of projects. Comprehensive staff planning thus becomes possible, simplifying the coordination process between project and line significantly.
Medium-sized companies and industrial concerns profit especially from the optimised utilisation of staff that Can Do’s project management software offers with the Staffer, and from the improved coordination between project work and line activities that results. Resource requests from the projects and an overview of the capacitative utilisation of the department and individual employees are displayed in the Staffer. In this way, department heads are able to use the Staffer to see which employees in their department are still available for projects, at a glance. The project manager in turn already sees, as part of his planning, whether the departments from which he required resources still have free capacities or are already operating at full capacity. In this way, resource conflicts can be avoided beforehand. This computer-supported staffing process is transparent to all those involved and eases line management in the long term.
Can Do has received the “Best of Industry Prize” for the second year in a row. This is also the second award this year for Can Do’s project management software: the company’s project management tool was one of the three leading products in the ERP category of the “IT Innovation Prize 2013” competition.
Can Do’s project software supports companies in the professional realisation of their projects. The tool provides more project transparency, enables optimal use of staff and allows one to work with realistic planning methods. The software also stands out through its comprehensive functions in the field of project portfolio and budget management, and it also provides integrated time recording and project reporting.
