Project management software from Can Do among the most innovative solutions
- “Best of” award for Can Do software in the ERP category at the “Innovationspreis-IT” of the organisation Initiative Mittelstand (Initiative for medium-sized companies)
- Planning software bridges the gap between project and line
Arward winning project management software
An expert jury once again awarded Can Do’s project management software the “best of” title in the ERP category at the “Innovationspreis-IT” of the organisation “Initiative Mittelstand”. This puts Can Do software among the leaders in a group of more than 5,000 entries. The software was once again able to present itself as an innovative solution of great value for medium-sized companies. Can Do’s planning software thereby asserts its status as one of the most innovative and efficient project management solutions on the market: In 2013, Can Do’s software took third place at the “Innovationspreis-IT” awards and the software was among the top few competitors in this competition and others in previous years.
This year, Can Do convinced the jury of experts with innovative further development in the area of project portfolio management and with its integration of line organisation into the functional world of project planning and controlling software. In the area of project portfolio management, Can Do offers companies the possibility of fine planning of intended but not yet approved portfolio projects, that is, the depiction of project-specific load curves. This makes it possible for companies to simulate various scenarios – which projects are realisable – in a considerably more detailed and accurate manner. Can Do thereby puts strategic portfolio planning on a realistic and current basis in terms of data.
The integration of line employees plays an elementary role in professional resource management – as employees are not only deployed in their specific departments but are working on projects simultaneously. Can Do’s software offers team leaders and department heads the opportunity to plan the professional activities of their employees with the same tool with which the project leaders manage their projects. Only in this way is holistic, comprehensive resource management enabled. Over and above this, with the “staffer”, Can Do has developed a function for the simplification of the coordination process between project and line in terms of requests and approval of staff for projects. In view of the increasing shortage of skilled employees and limited resources, optimal deployment of resources is essential in terms of international competitiveness.
